Giants can often be intimidating but by the grace of God, we're able to slay them. David who was famous for slaying the giant Goliath despite him being smaller and less equipped. Some of us relate to David with feeling like the odds are stacked against us and may question how will we ever be able to dominate in our future career field? Do you often find it hard to give yourself grace after not living up to your expectations? Do you often feel like giving up or question whether you are on the right path? Today we discuss recognizing you are already forgiven and to grant yourself grace. We also encourage you to keep building in the midst of feeling like giving up. Have you ever been one to believe that you can achieve greatness but had not been putting enough of the work in to get there? Today we discuss the famous scripture from the bible James 2:17 “Faith without works is dead.” We discuss why Faith + Works is so monumental. God grants us grace to complete our assignment but is also looking for us to move our feet to get it done. Remember, we are graced to DOMINATE stem!

Giving up is something we feel like doing when the going gets tough. If you know that you are called to be a game changer, do not give up despite the obstacles you face. Identify the moments when you feel like giving up the most. Next pay attention to the way you speak to yourself because as Proverbs18:21 states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” What are you speaking that’s causing you to feel like giving up? Remember that we are graced to dominate STEM!

Failure is often something we are afraid of experiencing but it is something that is inevitable. Today, we discuss how failure is often necessary to propel you forward. It teaches you whether what you're going after is truly what you want. It is often in our failures that we learn where our strength lies. Have you ever felt like an imposter? That maybe you don't belong in the room? Have you ever been afraid that people are going to figure you out? That you aren't as qualified? Today, we discuss dealing with imposter syndrome. You must shift your mindset. Take every negative thought captive and speak life into yourself. Know that your uniqueness is needed in your specific field. Continue to combat your inner imposter. Remember we're graced to dominate STEM!

As students in STEM, we are often inundated with classes, assignments, labs, organization meetings, etc. so much to the point we feel like we are juggling so much at once with limited time for ourselves and loved ones. This prolonged period of balancing everything on our plate can lead to burnout. In this episode how I dealt with burnout as a student in STEM and what strategies I currently use to prevent burnout again. We hope you enjoy and remember we're graced to dominate STEM!
